"Whiter Shade of Surrender"

Commenting "Beautiful song!" as you introduce a song that you yourself wrote sounds pretty arrogant.

But the singer continues and clarifies, "Great gift from God, this song."

Of course this is the song he told the interviewer:

"It was played just one time — the band improvised the version on the album from thin air. "This kind of Spirit blows through every now and then...It's a very strange feeling. We're waiting for God to walk into the room — and God, it turns out, is very unreliable."

Of course, this is the guy who years ago said flat-out, "I believe the songs are already written" (video 00:30ff here)

So, truly believing that the song is a gift should free him up from sounding proud..

And he adds,

"Now make it better for us. I ask you to sing.."

How to "improve" on something God has given?
By calling others to participate and amen it.

Here's the song, but be aware this is opening night, and a new song...and this particular band takes several gigs to get in gear...so the song will improve even better with practice.

But that it starts here with a churchlike, and very "Whiter Shade of Pale" (a classic Godhaunted song, that always belonged on church organ, and is indeed here) intro, helps indeed.

That is sung inside a cathedral ( see this and this)can't hurt.

It's "Moment of Surrender," by the worship band formerly known as The Hype:
