“New churches innovate, and old churches imitate.”
News item: In an address at Princeton Divinity School, Brian McLaren urged mainline church leaders and seminary professors to start as many new churches as they could, even if many of the new churches had “little chance of success.” Why? Because, he said, “New churches innovate, and old churches imitate.” (source)
