"cooperation can emerge in world of egoists"

A delightful video interview with The Edge is viewable here..,
see especially his analysis of U2's cooperative songwriting style; namechecking Robert Axelrod (Professor of Political Science and Public Policy at the University of Michigan. A MacArthur Prize Fellow, leading expert on game theory, artificial intelligence, evolutionary biology, mathematical modeling, and complexity theory)'s
influential book, "The Evolution of Cooperation"; "exploring how cooperation can emerge in a world of self-seeking egoists--whether superpowers, businesses, or individuals--when there is no central authority to police their actions." (amazon.com quotes).

Looks like a great book; here's the wikipedia article on it; even recommended by Douglas Hofstadter AND The Edge...can't go wrong(:

Sequel is "The Complexity of Cooperation."

Several articles by Axelrod on on his website.

A few...not enough..have picked
up the theological implications...here , here, and here, for example.

Bring it on..
