Paul didn't preach
For those who continue to believe Paul preached a looong sermon before that dude fell out the window..
I dunno about all this. Just because the first century Christians did something doesn't make it biblical. They were as deeply embedded in a culture as we are. Earnest people who want to discover the lost Christianity of the first century just make me tired. But at the same time I don't want to get in their way, so I'll whine here instead of there :)
Seriously, I enjoyed reading the article. However I'd rather pour a second beverage and talk about what faithful frontless community might look like today. I think it isn't house churches.
