Liminal Exhibition - Frictions Of Distance
"by Phillipe Chollet & Che-Guevara John...a time and space defying installation allowing people in London and Phnom Penh, Cambodia, to simultaneously walk in each other's footsteps.
Frictions of distance
One possible highlight of the Liminal exhibition at Rivington Place is the Frictions of Distance installation by Che-Guevara John and Phillippe Chollet. A collaborative effort between Rivington Place and the French Cultural Centre in Cambodia, visitors walking through both spaces will have their movements tracked by motion sensors, which will then project their footsteps onto the floor of the other venue. This means that you can literally walk in the steps of someone in Phnom Penh without taking your feet out of London."
