2)I would also guess Fr Martin is wrong when he assumes what Palin meant by the pope's "liberal" comments, she meant his statements which sound universalist, sound like he's de-emphazing doctrine and pro-life views, being okay with atheism, or accepting of Christian homosexuals, and not re: helping the poor.
