John Piper ( "Goodbye, Burger King") vs Richard Mouw ("Praying in Burger King")

First John Piper  famously tweeted "Farewell, Rob Bell"

I'm not sure he ever clarified if that meant
1)he  was done with Bell
2) he was kicking him out of the  evangelical/orthodox club..or even the Kingdom).

Now, in an obvious sequel, he tweets:
The question remains..but if he means #2 this time, there's a difference.
As Bob Newhart might say, "Stop it, John." They don't belong to your club.

Here's the video he linked, which he promised would make me weep.
It didn't.  Does that make Piper a false prophet(:   ?
Here's the Wall Street Journal article he linked:
LGBT Equality: Burger King Unveils the Rainbow-Wrapped Whopper - Corporate Intelligence - WSJ

Hey, Piper reads the Wall Sreet Journal?! That's a secular source! (:
Where's the "Sayonara, WSJ" tweet ?

Here's a conservative article:

Piper: The ones that come to mind first are: Don’t preach. Converse.

Your kids hear enough sermons but really want to talk with you.

Don’t pray. Talk to God.

Your kids need to see and hear what it means to connect to God, not speak formally to a distant deity.
Have a hobby you can share. Your kids love to be included in your life, and it makes for a wonderful escape form the hard aspects of ministry. - See more at: http://jonathanmerritt.religionnews.com/2014/07/01/john-pipers-son-discusses-dysfunction-conflict-upbringing/#sthash.Q086rx0Z.dpuf

This all instantly reminded me of an article by another Reformed leader ..one whose style I prefer

Praying in Public

There is no place in all of creation that is outside the scope of God's mercies--not even Burger King
 by Richard Mouw

I pray in restaurants. It is a practice I learned in childhood, and I have consciously embraced it as an adult.

In certain circumstances, I feel..

Mouw even wrote a book ,Praying at Burger King

All I can say is we Christians need to pray...maybe at Burger King...about our role in the culture, and culture wars.
I'm still in disbelief that this was a real  seminary ad...
