- "Everything you do online should be done to increase the trust that others have in you." -Matt McGee, founder/mayor of @U2, and other ventures.
- "..in the culture of the internet, information wants to be free."-Eric Schmidt, CEO, Google
- the first from Matt's "Why Trust Matters & How To Earn It,"
- and the second from a Fortune Interview, 1/19/09, p. 20, but likely original to someone else..
remind me again that the internet and its culture are a wake-up/shake-up call to the church.
If only we belivers were famous for being trusted/trustworthy,
and folk who extend grace for free.
We need:
- We need to be trusted to be trusted. No doubt.
- All information/good news inherently wants and intrinsically needs to be freely given. No strings and no sh&#.
Sigh.
In other words, the two quotes were prophetic remix and midrash on these two quotes:
- "Love always trusts"-1 Cor 13
- "For we are not like so many others, hucksters who peddle the word of God for profit, but we ...are persons of sincerity" -2 Cor 2 1:7
