"and in between you're nothing... you have to risk it all"

The U2 transition into the 1990s always calls to mind liminal space; even the very border/end of liminal space.  Here's the "From the Sky Down" documentary...a few highlights for me, with insights on

shift/transition/liminality/betwixt and between/rite of passage:

15:00--20:00 section on Bonglose/language, "building your house from the sky down."

36:36-37:42, the force with which Larry  literally/symbolically threw away the sticks of the 1098's on New Years Eve.

50:32-53:37 on Edge's divorce...especially hearing Edghe sing "Love is Blindness"

Best of all, 40:57'-41:19's:
"You have to reject one expression of the band first before you get to the next expression.... and in between you're nothing... you have to risk it all"

Great insights also  on the concept of clan and community; as as most fans know, the timing of the shift with the fall of Berlin wall..
