Shameless Whigs promo

I guess I am a PR agent for the Whigs.

With reviews coming out in the likes of New York Times and Billboard,
I don't know why these boys need me.

With Rolling Stone calling them "maybe the best unsigned band in America," which may have lead to their signing with Dave Matthews,
why would folks need me to turn you on to them?

But I love the midwifing "ministry of introduction."

I cannot believe how many people are finding this blog by googling to see what the heck the lyrics are to that haunting song, "Put Your Right Hand on My Heart." When I first posted the blog on the Whigs, alongside their Letterman performance, their lyrics couldn't even be found online. Within a few weeks, a few sites had added them; and I added them to the original post, which radically increased my Whigs traffic (and of course the traffic to the Relevant interview of their Keith Mooning drummer by waycool pastor, Matt Conner ).

I'll post the lyrics again here, just to increase the buzz for these guys.
I'm glad to be John the Baptist, and then duck the spotlight.
Here's their website, their ILike, and their MySpace.

Buy their T shirts over there.

I guess I should email the Whigs to see what else I can do:
roadie, whatever.

I'll settle for a T shirt, and knowing I sent some people over.

All the fallen leaves will find their branches again
Raindrops from the heavens I'll eventually swim
A river, an ocean, a wave in my heart
We got your money now we'll make a new start

All the fallen leaves will find their branches again
Raindrops in the heavens I'll eventually swim
River, an ocean, a wave in my heart
We got your money now we'll make a new start

In another week, i promise
In another year, i promise

Put your right hand on my heart

All the fallen leaves will find their branches again
The raindrops in the heavens I'll eventually swim
Don't bypass the train-tracks that lead to my heart
We got your money now we'll make a new start

All the fallen leaves will find their branches again
Raindrops in the heavens I'll eventually swim
River, an ocean, a wave in my heart
We got your money now we'll make a new start

In another week, promise?
In another year, promise?

Put your right hand on my heart

Your right hand on my heart
Your right hand on my heart
Feel the promise of my beating heart

All the fallen leaves will find their branches again
Raindrops in the heavens I'll eventually swim
River, an ocean, a wave in my heart
We got your money now we'll make a new start
