Get a Clue, Train...and Manifest

Not long ago, I discovered that the important business book, "The Cluetrain Manifesto: The End of Business as Usual" , which of course has implications for church and culture/wine and skins is online free here: http://www.cluetrain.com/book/index.html . Also found that Jordon Cooper recommeneds this book for those considering ordination. That means he must be cool..so here's his whole list (from this page):
Making Sense of Church by Spencer Burke
Purpose Driven Church by Rick Warren (I bet that suprised some of you)
The Emerging Church by Dan Kimball
Adventures in Missing the Point by Tony Campolo and Brian McLaren
A New Kind of Christian by Brian McLaren
Liquid Church by Pete Ward (that should mess some people up)
Birth of the Chaordic Age by Dee Hock
Soul Tsunami or Carpe Manana by Len Sweet
Contemplative Pastor and the rest of the series by Eugene Peterson
The Cluetrain Manifesto
Rise of the Creative Class by Richard Florida

Anyone who know me will be shocked to hear that I do not have two of those books!

As to "Cluetrain Manifesto, " here are a few of my notes:
-I find the term "framejacking" ("misuse of context") to be hugely helpful, as this is what we often do in life, theologizing, etc. (p.108) Besides, it just would be too cool to answer: "What are you in prison for?," with a deadpan " Oh, framejacking, man!"

-"Mr. Kapusinski, our Polish journalist..says that although we may have toppled the system, we still carry its genes. He says its a demonic paradox. Jazzman Rahsaan Roland Kirk has another term for this same phenomenon...' volunteer slavery.':" (p.179).
When "secular" journalists (in God's economy, they might be the 'new exorcists') detect "demonic " paradoxes in still carrying the genes of toppled systems, I need to perk up, and ask how am I unkowinkly acting out of the deafault church culture I thought I was delivered from. I know I functioned often out of this spirit when i was famous/infamous for
this !!) And when a jazzman warns me about slavery, it must be a word from God ..because we need jazz to prophesy over us, especially when we default to ethnocentrism.

-"The spiritual lure of the web is the return of voice. " (p.39) I am doing research on the role of voice; even the neurological...even theological..primacy of sound, so this is germane. See the breathtaking "The Divine Vouice: Christian Proclamation and the Theology of Sound" book reviewed here.
-"Rewrite your mission statement as a corporate story. In fact, wouldn't a narrative version of an annual report help the company more than the usual hearty prose and canned snaps of happy employees?" (p. 107)
-"Next time you wonder what you're allowed to say at work, online,downtown..just say whatever the hell you feel like saying. Anyone asks you, te;; 'em it's Ok. Tell 'em you read it in a book. Put that in your demonic paradox and smoke it." (181)
