  1. Perhaps in one sense, yes. But Robinson Crusoe taught me that I am really never alone. I might feel that I am, but feelings have their own agenda and can't be trusted.

    it could also be that the best 'solitude" is found being with others..
    I love the phrase "extroverted monasticism" that someone coined
