Although chiasmania is easy to catch, I do enjoy trainspotting chiasm--especially in the Bible, but also in literature like the U2 canon ( "the sick stay healthy, and the sick stay poor')..
But I didn't realize it had been utilized visually in the Dead Sea Scrolls.

Not sure of the chiasm is just in the visual arrangement , or is literary (as in reverse parallelism of words/themes) as well out the text (can't make out the text in photo).
Surprisingly, not much online about it except this.
Welcome! You have accidentally reached the blog of a heteroclite follower of Jesus: dave wainscott. I'm "pushing toward the unobvious" as I post thinkings/linkings re: Scripture, church and culture. Hot topics include: temple tantrums, time travel, sexuality/spirituality, U2kklesia, role of the pastor, God-haunted music/art..and subversive videos like these.
This is very interesting. I'd love to learn more. Learning more, my interest grows. :-)
ReplyDeleteHi. This picture is upside down because the text is upside down!
