I think the board of elders at MHBC talked Kent into the job even though he didn't see himself in that role. I thought his speech was a bit self indulgent — but no worse than some messages Bell gave when he was there. The man was uncomfortable in the role from the beginning. The church has declined. He wants to move on — even though he doesn't know where that will lead him. He should move on.
